Privacy Policy

WallSight ("we", "us") is a LiDAR scanning app for field technicians. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run your account and sync your scans, we don't sell data, and we don't show ads.

What we collect

• Account details — email address, your name, and (optionally) a company name, provided at sign-up. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier and email Apple shares (which may be a private relay address).
• Your project data — projects, scans, spatial tags (3D positions and categories such as "electrical" or "plumbing"), and AR world-map files your device captures. These sync to our servers so you can restore them on your devices.
• Usage analytics — small, named product events (for example "scan saved", with a tag count). These contain no free text, no addresses, and no scan content. We use them to understand which features matter.
• Purchase state — your subscription entitlement is processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment details.

What the camera sees

The camera and LiDAR sensor are used on-device by Apple's ARKit to build spatial maps. Camera frames are not transmitted to us. The AR world-map files that sync to our servers describe spatial feature geometry — they are not photographs or video.

How your data is protected

• Data is isolated per account at the application layer and additionally by database row-level security — one account cannot read another's data.
• Transport is encrypted (HTTPS) in production. On-device caches use iOS file protection.
• Passwords are stored only as salted bcrypt hashes.

What we don't do

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• We do not show ads or share data with ad networks.
• We do not use your scans for anything other than serving them back to you.

Deleting your data

Delete your account any time in the app: Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, projects, scans, tags, and world-map files from our servers. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — manage that in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Data retention

Your data is kept while your account exists and deleted when you delete your account. Server backups age out on a rolling basis.

Children

WallSight is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the date above.
